Monday, June 16 Start of Summer Reading Program
Party for Teens // 3-4:30 pm // Children’s Activity Room
Teens and tweens in grades 6-12 are
invited to sign up for the 2014 Teen Summer Reading Challenge. Fabulous prizes
are at stake! Stop by the kick-off party to find out more. We’ll be engaging in
nostalgic activities like coloring and playing with play-doh, and of course enjoying
some free snacks.

Thursday, June 19 - Dumbledore’s Army: Muggle
Quidditch // 3:30-4:30 pm // Program Room
Teens and tweens ages 10 and up: Join us
for a round of Muggle Quidditch! (Please note: Arriving promptly by 3:30 is CRUCIAL! It takes a long time to
explain the rules, and latecomers force us to cut the game short. Latecomers
will be subject to trial by the Wizengamot, and will face prison time in
Azkaban.)

movie-going experience! Audience members will not simply sit back and watch--oh

Calling all Doctor Who fans! Join us as
we celebrate our love for that mysterious Time Lord. There will be crafts,
games and snacks. No daleks or cybermen allowed!

Monday, June 30 - Teen Music Monday: DIY song
lyric tote bags // 3-4:30 // Children’s Activity Room
Come listen to music and do a
music-related craft. Bring some music to share and find out about new bands and
artists. At this week’s session we will make personalized tote bags decorated
with song lyrics.

Summer Fanfiction Writing Contest // grades 6-12
// June 16-July 31
Teens in grades 6-12 may submit one piece
of fanfiction to our contest. Winners will receive Jabberwocky gift cards, and
the chance to have their story added to our new Fanfiction Library. See the
attached form for more info.

Tuesday, July 1 - Teen Movie Night: 10 Things I Hate About You // 6:30 pm //
Program Room
Join us on Tuesday evenings in July for free
teen movies. This week it’s 10 Things I
Hate About You (PG-13), a classic retelling of The Taming of the Shrew starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, and
Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Snacks will be provided!

Wednesday, July 2 - Tween craft: Henna with Mandy
Roberge (2:30-3:30)
Tweens: Learn all about henna and get a
free henna tattoo from local artist Mandy Roberge.

Tuesday, July 8 - Comics/Manga workshop with
Peter Simeti (2-3:30)
Join local comic artist Peter Simeti for a comics
and manga drawing workshop. Peter will help everyone learn how to draw their
favorite characters! This program is for teens and tweens ages 10-18. Space is
limited, so registration is required. Call the Reference Desk at 978-465-4428
ext. 246 to sign up. Registration begins on June 23rd.

Tuesday, July 8 - Teen Movie Night: Catching Fire // 6:00 pm // Program Room
Join us every Tuesday evening in July for
a free teen movie. This week’s pick is Catching
Fire, the second installment in the Hunger
Games trilogy. Snacks will be provided! (*Please note: Because of the
length of this film, we will be starting promptly at 6:00 pm. Latecomers will
face trackerjacker attacks.)

Wednesday, July 9 - Cupcake Decorating Workshop
at Eat Cake! //2:30-4:00 pm
You like cupcakes, right? Of course you
do! Join us for a special field trip to Eat Cake where their master bakers will
teach us the art of cupcake decorating. This program is open to teens and
tweens in grades 6-12. Space is limited, so registration is required. Call the
